Families Forward is an Irvine based nonprofit that helps families in need achieve and maintain self-sufficiency through housing, food, counseling, and other support services. They collect and distribute donations of gift cards, toys or other items. See the wish list of gifts that are especially needed for children and teens during this holiday season. An easy gift is a $25 to $50 Target gift card. All the new & unwrapped gifts will be taken to Families Forward on Monday.
Clean out a closet or garage & bring it along and all donations will be taken to the Bicycle Tree the following week. The Bicycle Tree is a nonprofit community bike center and shop in Santa Ana. One of their missions is to teach youth to wrench bicycles, and refurbish bikes and sell or donate them to those in need. They collect spare new & used bicycle parts for this purpose. They also accept gently worn cycling clothes and accessories they resell for revenue to keep their doors open. Please note: Due to space limitations, they’re not accepting low quality/poor conditioned bikes.
