2026 AMENDMENT (PDF)
The Board of Directors have put forward an amendment to modernize our ByLaws to allow online electronic voting - These changes will be presented to the members at our first general meeting in 2026 (January or February) and voted upon at the second General Meeting of 2026 (March or April - Dates are still TBD)

Proposed March 3, 2022: Whereas the BCI Annual Meeting in January coincides with potential weather restrictions, influenza season, and all the issues of pulling it together during the year end holiday season, the Board proposed the following Bylaw Amendment to allow shifting the Annual Meeting for ELECTIONS from January to another date.
Annual recognition for ride leaders will be presented at the January General Meeting.
Annual recognition of the Member of the Year (Spirit Award) will be presented at the Holiday Potluck.
Implementation Steps:
√ February Board Meeting – Topic discussed and review of By Laws directed
√ March 3rd Board Meeting – Motion carried to propose amendment
√ March 10th General Meeting – Presentation of the these Amendments
√ June 9th General Meeting – Vote of Members approved these Amendments
We needed a majority of 25 votes to satisfy the quorum. The Amendment passed.
√ The Annual Meeting was scheduled for October 15th, 2022
√ A Nominating Committee was appointed by the President and collected volunteer nominations by August 15th
√ The list of Candidates was published by September 1st
√ Nominations closed on September 21st
√ Sample / Absentee Ballot was published September 30th
√ Annual Meeting (Officer Elections & Dinner) was held on Saturday, October 15th
The 2022 Board term was thus cut short on October 15th
The newly elected Officers and appointed Board were identified with a term of “2022-2023” and served until the next Annual Meeting in 2023
