> NEW FEATURE / EXPERIMENT TODAY: BCI used to designate regroup points on cue sheets to optionally prompt faster riders to pause & let slower riders who missed a signal catch up.
It feels like riding in a club when we get to ride as a group.
It also helps follow a route that has as many turns as this one does!
Every 5 miles there is a spot to pause, hug the gutter or get on the sidewalk. and regroup - usually just after a turn.
It is an optional invitation, so if you want to hammer out your pace, or leave the pack on your electric bicycle, do.
If you are really slow, don’t be disappointed expecting others to be waiting too long at the optional regroups.
The intent is to keep BCI the ‘Friendliest Club in OC ’ and encourage the lost art of slowing to ride together !
If we try it and like it, the Ride Coordinator will gradually integrate it into more routes - so please let him know.

> POSSIBLE DETOUR TODAY:
Both routes return following the Peters Canyon Trail under the 5 freeway -
Construction MAY close this and require using Tustin Ranch to get past the 5 Freeway.

Many gather for lunch after the ride at the local shopping center.
