Beat the Heat! Bike to Oceanside - lunch at Swami’s, then train back on MetroLink to the Tustin MetroLink Station then ride back to Deerfield…

Cheater option: Ride to Irvine Station, take 857 Train at 8:42 to San Juan Capistrano or San Clemente & get ahead of the pack for San Clemente, San Onofre & Camp Pendleton … your $10 all day pass will get you round trip back to Tustin…$3.88 to San Clemente + 5.75 back to Irvine if 65 or over…

Our route uses the FREEWAY SHOULDER from Las Pulgas to Oceanside - It’s legal, shorter, flatter & safer than the Base Route.
If you want to ride on base through Camp Pendleton you need to get a Bike Pass in advance.

They “Moon the AmTrak” @ 3:10 but might be practicing on our MetroLink at about 2:00…
