Ed Rubinstein News

Ed Rubinstein, that tall, fit, smiling guy, a BCI member since 1987 and a recent Spirit Awardee, and our club Treasurer (22/23 to 24/25) has osteomyelitis that has attacked his spine, a rare but serious place for infection. His first course of treatment was a strong regimen of antibiotics, but in mid October he underwent a 5-hour emergency surgery. Once released from the hospital, he was transferred to an advanced rehab unit for occupational and physical therapy.

It can’t be overstated how important Ed’s role as our Treasurer is in all matters pertaining to the financial affairs of BCI. In spite of his serious condition, he hopes to continue his duties during his recovery and be back on his bike next year. The Board of Directors, his riding buddies, and everybody else who have wondered, “Gee, where’s Ed been lately?” extend wishes for a speedy recovery. You can reach out with a get-well card or electronically by using his contact information found in the club roster
