Epic trip to the back side of Catalina Island

NOTE: This is being offered to BCI members, but is NOT “officially” a BCI event.

There is an opportunity to see bison grazing across Catalina! Snorkel at natural Little Harbor on the back side of the island. Sunbathe on beautiful, uncrowded beaches. Explore hiking trails at Two Harbors for non-bikers.

What to expect:

• Compacted dirt roads

• Up and down hills

• Great overnight at famous Banning House. Free Breakfast

WE CAN’T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THE BEAUTIFUL BANNING HOUSE WITH FREE BREAKFASTS, A GREAT LOBBY FOR SOCIAL HOUR, AND COMPLIMENTARY WINE IN P.M.

The cost of the trip is about $350 per person, includes:

• Round trip Ferry to Avalon including your bike (eBike batteries must be removed upon boarding)

• Catalina Island pass

• Taxi to airport or Little Harbor

• Banning House/ shared room

• This ride is intended for gravel, mountain or for road bikes with tires no smaller than 700c X 32mm.

• It’s required that you remove your eBike’s battery on ferry rides.

• Plan to carry everything when you ride, especially extra water. No cell service on the route.

• ????????? Riding takes half day to get to half way point (airport), It is all downhill from airport to Little Harbor, then uphill to Two Harbors.
