Train TO Riverside:

In December of 2019 we did this on Friday the 13th, and had a great day. We are ready to go do it again!
Join us again at the end of April before the summer heat.
We will train up to Riverside, have breakfast, then head down the Santa Ana River Trail bikeway back toward Orange County.

Catch the IE/OC Line train #800 to Riverside. It leaves San Juan Capistrano at 8:11 with stops to jump on in LN/MV, Irvine. Tustin, Santa Ana, Orange & Anaheim Canyon. One-way from Irvine is $10.50 ($5.25 65+ senior)
Orange, Santa Ana, Tustin are a bit less, LN/MV, San Juan etc is a bit more…

You will miss the adventure of taking MetroLink but you can drive up & park at the Ride Start: Riverside Downtown Station - meet up when everyone else gets off the train at 9:45 & ride along !

We will ride past the famous Mission Inn, to Tio’s Tacos - a famous landmark of of its own with quirky & giant folk sculptures & great breakfast burritos. (order to-go - their breakfast are huge!)
If riding only to Corona - skip breakfast to catch the 815 train at 1:04.

From breakfast we take the Santa Ana River Trail bikeway down stream from Riverside to Norco, and turn back, or continue to Corona and beyond…

Train Home:
One way from Corona-West to Irvine is $8.25 ($4 senior)

Train #815 leaves Corona-West at 1:04 back to Irvine at 1:54 (only 2 hours to cover just under 20 miles so consider skipping breakfast ! )
Train #817 leaves Corona-West at 3:26 back to Irvine at 4:15 (plenty of time for breakfast and getting lost in Norco but only goes as far as Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo at 4:26 where you have to transfer at 4:40 to the #602 train to San Clemente)
Train BACK to Riverside: If you started from, or parked your vehicle in Riverside,
- first available NB train back to Riverside from Corona - West is late afternoon…might as well keep going to Anaheim!
Train #806 leaves Corona-West at 4:22 back to Riverside at 4:57 (Anaheim at 4:03)

Ride to Norco “out & back” - 23 to 29 miles

43 too far and no desire to get on a train? If you park at Riverside, consider the Norco Out & Back;
Follow route slip to mile 12.1 or 14.5 & then turn around & double back to the start…
double the pleasure to 23 or 29 miles… or 46 to Corona & back…

Ride to Anaheim - 43 miles

Train Home: FAST? Catch the #684 @ 2:54 (<4 hours) or the #602 @ 4:03 ( or other options - see schedule below )

Train BACK to Riverside: If you started from, or parked your vehicle in Riverside,
Ride to Orange or take the #632 @ 2:18 or #684 @ 2:54 to Orange & transfer to the #806; leaves Orange at 3:57;
or catch the #602 @ 4:03 to Orange & transfer to the #808, 810 or 812; leaving Orange at 4:24, 5:12 or 5:46)

To get back to Riverside from Anaheim you will need to transfer to another line…  Get off at Next stop in Orange or Fullerton - lots of places to get dinner in Orange if Time Allows!
