Today is Pi (π) Day so to celebrate we will serve Pizza Pi and Apple Pi after the ride!
After the ride enjoy some free pie! (while it lasts) at the Deerfield Park patio - and as a special unique cross training, we will play a round of disc golf!
The Frisbee originated from Yale students in the 1920s-1950s tossing metal pans from the Frisbie Pie Company, shouting "Frisbie" as a warning. Inventor Walter Frederick Morrison later created a plastic version called the "Pluto Platter" in 1948, which Wham-O purchased and rebranded as "Frisbee" in 1957.
Frisbee Golf was a part of Deerfield’s history since before the Bicycle of Deerfield was started so a round of Disc Golf make as much sense as anything for celebrating Pi Day!
