Saturday Morning Rides are the best way to be introduced to BCI club rides and to our members. We offer routes to accommodate riders of various skill levels, climbing abilities and pace. All routes share a common food stop where you can refresh yourself, grab a bite to eat, and socialize with other riders.

All rides start from Deerfield Park at 9:00 a.m.

Three routes are offered:

  • The short route is usually 10-15 miles, reasonably flat, with the break at the 7-8 mile point.
  • The medium route, 25-35 miles, is usually reasonably flat with one or more hills added to give you a little challenge.
  • The long route, 35-45 miles, is the most challenging with more hills and a faster pace.
The short and medium rides always have a sweep rider. The sweep is a more experienced rider who rides at the back of his or her group and helps the other riders with questions about cycling or the club.

On the first Saturday of every month we host a Newbie Ride. These are easy rides for inexperienced riders that let you meet the members and learn the ropes. Please arrive early for the Newbie Ride (8:00 am is recommended) so we can advise you on equipment and guidelines for riding in big groups.
