2015-04-26 view Hello! Thanks for sharing this. I would be interested in your interior rack. I drive a Honda Pilot SUV so I'm not sure if my interior is tall enough for the bike rack.
2015-04-21 view This is the perfect bike for someone who may be new to cycling and/or not ready to spend a lot of money for a bike. It's in perfect condition and includes Shimano Ultegra components and upgrades like an Easton carbon fiber fork and Cane Creek threadless headset. Mechanic-owned and maintained, it's clean and ready to ride. Will fit most riders 5" 4" to 5' 9". Must see to appreciate.
Asking $450 OBO

Road Avoidances Barranca between the train station & Alton 4/15-8/1/15view 2015-04-16 Barranca Pkwy between the train station & Alton Pkwy has been reduced to one lane in each direction due to major utility work related to new development south of the station. Signs indicate this work will disrupt this section of Barranca until at least August 1st. To avoid the lack of bike lanes, I suggest using Technology Dr. and Alton Pkwy through this area.
News & General Discussion 1st General Meeting of 2015view 2015-02-19 Great guest speaker last night! We need an occasional motivational speaker who can inspire motivation and create a "Driven" attitude! Well worth the effort to come out. Makes this club special and looking forward to the next meeting.
Oh and the $25 gift cards weren't bad either.
Good job Board! :D
News & General Discussion Lost bike rack keys foundview 2015-02-01 On today's yellow ride return I found a pair of bike rack keys in the road at the intersection of Cannon and Serrano. Probably a long shot they belong to one of our members but contact me if they are yours!
News & General Discussion Are any of the ride routes available to download?view 2014-12-22 Not sure if anyone has routes in tcx, gpx, or gps files but I"m looking at the medium route for this Saturday and even looking at it on a map I'm still pretty lost as I'm a fairly new rider and have never ridden most of the roads on my bike or the paths.
Just throwing it out there to see if anyone has put the route into one of the major gps sites for download or not.
Thanks in advance.
News & General Discussion How much incline is too much for a new rider?view 2014-12-22 Randy, thanks for the tips, but I picked up a new to me tarmac SL3 with a lot lower gearing and was able to get through the entire Santiago canyon loop by downshifting and just going 5mph after several additional tries. The first time I tried to downshift into a really low gear I got half way then practically fell over onto the curb and puked my lunch up. I figured I was spinning too much. After about 5 min of gasping for air I realized I needed to re-think it.
The next few times I geared up 1 and went between spinning and mashing and didn't make it even after stopping a few times. Then I learned how to gear up a few gears and stand and push forward and then gear down to spin and that seems to work the best. I did have to take a few stops for about 5 min after the big hills, but I did finish eventually.
According to the strava report the hills portion of the ride was 17 miles and 1500' of elevation. Some spots shows the grade going as high as 8.7. All in all the entire route was 34 miles with a little over 2200' of elevation.
Now I'm gonna try and do the 2 cannon hills next!
