| Tracy Tilton had an accident on the blue ride at Los Alisos & Jeronimo. The leading pack was rolling at 25+ mph in close formation when the light turned yellow. Some of the riders yelled "rolling" and went through, some hesitated, wheels touched and Tracy went down. She had significant road rash, hit her head, and had other undetermined injuries so she was taken to the hospital by the paramedics. Fortunately x-rays and cat scan came back good and she is back riding her bike despite some lingering pain. She wants everyone to know that her helmet saved her life. |

| Unfortunately, this is a problem repeated over and over. Sorry we had an injury on this one. Leading the pack carries some serious responsibilities, one of which is making a quick determination that everyone can make it through on yellow. It is the leaders call, and he/she must yell loud enough for everyone to hear or his/her signal must be repeated throughout the group. No free agents on this one, everyone in the group must do what the leader says. Either everyone is goin' or everyone is slowin'. Glad you are OK Tracy. |
