The Bicycle Club of Irvine

Saturday, January 23rd, the BCI gathered for it's Annual Meeting.
The room was overfilled with a capacity crowd; a few were too late to get in on the dinner...

The Potluck was supplied by the club, who sprung for Stonefire Grill and beverages, as well as the insurance on a no-host bar tender. Dessert of gourmet cupcakes was provided by one of our sponsoring bike shops; Two Wheels, One Planet.

Raffel prizes were abundant ranging from cool running shoes, helmets, tune ups, a GWBR registration, gift cards from various sponsors up to a computerized full fit service from a Road Bike for You.

Awards were given to the 10 women and 10 men who turned the most miles on BCI rides in 2009, including a custom yellow jersey for Laurie Ostrow and David Marino who were the top couple;

David was awarded the coveted Broken Crank award (his second time!)

The Spirit Award was presented to Will Decker,

and and award for the best crash & recovery of 2009 was given jointly to Dick & Arline Bird -

who each are back on their bikes after both getting broken on separate rides...


The Board or Directors were officially accepted;
Will Decker passed on the Sacred Bell to Laurie Ostrow as the new President.


Wil Decker and Mike Weber were acknowledged for their years as our President and Ride Coordinator

2009 Director at Large David Marino was installed as 2010 Vice President, replacing President Ostrow.
Brian Rebold was installed as 2010 Ride Coordinator replacing Mike Weber.
Tommie Kozlov was installed as 2010 Membership Director, continuing her service as our 2009 Membership Directorship appointee.
Monica McCarthy, Linda Crown, Bill Clark were installed to continue as our Secretary, Treasurer and Statistician.
