Saturday we heard he was to be released Sunday ... anyone have any word on what happen & how Wayne is?
If so - let us know! |
I was at the back of the group when something happened on the right side and 1-2 people went down, and then it looked like someone else crashed into the mess. I'm not sure whether Wayne was in the start of the crash or the one that crashed into it. _________________ Mike Iglesias |

Wayne's wife sent out a note this evening on how he's doing...

Thought I'd send an update on Wayne . . .
He had a rough night in the hospital Saturday and got very little sleep. When I arrived early Sunday, he wasn't looking too chipper and was still having problems with nausea and dizziness. His doctor came in and decided to let him go home. So, I brought him home yesterday and even though he wasn't feeling good at all, he was happy to be home.
Sunday was a difficult day for him -- he was just very, very tired and feeling pretty awful. Food didn't appeal to him (and you all know how Wayne likes to eat!) and he just lost what little he did have. The dizziness was very bad if he moved around. Sunday night, he had trouble sleeping because he was very sore.
Today he seemed to turn a new corner and is doing so much better. He has been eating some and his stomach seems to be settling down. He is not near so dizzy and has been up and about. He was checked out by a Kaiser doctor today and appears to be coming along well. He was told that if symptoms of his concussion have subsided by this weekend, he will be able to go on his Washington tour -- one big thing on his mind, of course!
So, all and all, things are going well. The doctor was amazed at how well his wounds are healing already. He's promised to be totally honest about what's going on with his "head." Hopefully, the concussion will mend quickly too!
Thank you all for your e-mails, calls, or checking on Wayne through the "grapevine." We appreciate your love and concern.
It's so wonderful to have so many terrific, caring friends and such a loving family.
